03 Oct INOVAX representative of the UFRJ Technological Park on the NACAD administrative committee
Starting this month, INOVAX will be representing, through the CTO João Carlos Demier Freire Ribeiro, Parque Tecnológico UFRJ in the administrative committee of Advanced High Performance Computing Core - NACAD, contributing to the discussion to determine the direction of the activities in this center of UFRJ.
João Carlos Demier Freire Ribeiro was appointed by the Director of the UFRJ Technological Park, José Carlos Pinto, due to his knowledge in the area of information and communication technology, his performance on the Board of Directors of the Technological Park and with ASSESPRO, in addition to his enthusiasm and support for Rede-RIO.
COPPE / UFRJ's Advanced High Performance Computing Nucleus - NACAD is a laboratory specialized in the application of high performance computing to engineering and science problems in general.
Some of NACAD's activities:
• Research and development conducted by the NACAD team of researchers and users of its high performance computing services;
• Computer support for groups of teachers and researchers from different Programs at COPPE, UFRJ, other institutions in the State of Rio de Janeiro and other states;
• Human resources training through regular graduate and undergraduate courses, mini-courses on specific topics and specific courses related to the use of NACAD equipment.
