06 Aug INOVAX will deploy Cloud Computing from the National Education and Research Network (RNP) in Brazil
THE INOVAX, in partnership with Huawei, will donate, deploy and maintain the project equipment cloud computing (cloud computing) of National Education and Research Network (RNP). The project aims to disseminate and develop digital technologies in remote areas of the country.
The contract provides for the donation of equipment with large data storage capacity, which will compose data centers Recife and Manaus. The project will not only help to develop industries in these regions, it will also generate jobs and preserve strategic resources, with a clean industry like cloud computing.
Recife was chosen to receive one of the data centers because it is a development hub in the Northeast Region, which has 29% of the country's population, but accounts for only 13% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). And, also, because of the Federal University of Pernambuco, which develops research projects in the information technology (IT) sector. Manaus will receive another data center to encourage the development of the IT industry, installed in the Free Zone.
The pilot project for Shared Data Center (CDC) da INOVAX / Huawei was launched on July 8 at the Federal Institute of Pernambuco (IFPE) and is the first project of the ministries of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and Education (MEC) of a cloud computing service for the teaching and research community in the country.
Cloud computing is a worldwide trend, as it transfers files to virtual servers (in the “cloud”) that, until now, were stored on the user's own physical servers. With cloud computing, users can access their data files anywhere in the world.
The INOVAX / Huawei partnership was responsible for implementation of the first container data centers in Brazil and the solution this year received the Tier III certification through the Uptime Institute and became the first Conteiner Data Center to receive certification.
INOVAX brought the CDCs to the Brazil in partnership with Huawei foreseeing rapid growth in the cloud data center market, which has become more complex to meet new industry needs.
