On February 28, João Carlos Demier Freire Ribeiro, Technical Director (CTO) of INOVAX, was officially appointed as an alternate member of the Board of Directors of the Technological Park of Rio de Janeiro (PTR), located in Cidade Universitária da Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The appointment was made by the rector of UFRJ, through Ordinance No. 2124, published in the Federal Official Gazette. As a member of the Board, João Carlos Demier will have a voice in the Board for decisions regarding the Park's administration, seeking its improvement and development.

INOVAX's CTO notes that the company has always recognized the importance of the Park and that is why it was happy with the nomination. “INOVAX recognized at first the importance of developing a technological park associated with UFRJ, when it was presented to the proposal to create a Digital Pole at PTR / UFRJ in conjunction with the Association of Software Companies of the State of Rio de Janeiro ( ASSESPRO-RJ), in 2004 and since then has tried to establish its product development team in this environment ”he observes.

The PTR / UFRJ was created from the perspective of the University and the Council has the function of appointing the Director of the Park and making it possible to discuss the issues that affect its management. The Council brings together representatives from the university's various Teaching Centers, CENPES Research Centers, CEPEL, Municipal and State Governments and entities such as FIRJAN and SEBRAE. According to the CTO, “the importance of having a company representative on the Board is to allow companies established in the park to directly influence this discussion and the PTR / UFRJ management itself. In this way, INOVAX acts as an interlocutor for the various companies established in the PTR / UFRJ ”.

INOVAX settled in Cidade Universitária initially at the Business Incubator of the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research in Engineering (COPPE). Today, it is a consolidated company in the Technological Park, where it carries out research and product development activities in its Research, Development and Technological Innovation Center (CPDIx).
